18th annual Rite Aid Executive Car Wash

On July 14, Rite Aid executives, and even Miss America, gathered together at Rite Aid’s Camp Hill, Pennsylvania office to wash cars to raise money for Penn State Children’s Hospital—the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. A little rain wasn’t going to dampen spirits or fundraising efforts!

Despite the forecast, supporters enjoyed raffles, a silent auction, caricature drawings and a food truck festival, in addition to the always popular Thrifty ice cream treats—and of course clean cars! Associates had the chance to win some awesome prizes such as an additional five days of vacation, airfare and an iPad.

Miracle child Mia, from Penn State Children’s Hospital, shared her story with attendees and kept everyone inspired by the impact of funds raised from the event. She even presented Rite Aid executives with a piece of artwork to thank them for their support of kids like her.

Executive Vice President, Jocelyn Konrad, was having a blast washing cars and raising money for CMN Hospitals.

The total raised by the event is still being finalized, but is on target to raise over $130,000! Thanks to Rite Aid for rolling up their sleeves for another great fundraising event, rain or shine!
