Rite Aid 2017 campaign begins March 19

Rite Aid’s 2017 Miracle Balloon campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals begins on March 19, 2017. Through May 6, Rite Aid associates and customers can give the gift of a miracle by purchasing $1 paper Miracle Balloons, which are proudly displayed in stores throughout the campaign. Supporters receive $7 in coupon offers for a variety of items sold at Rite Aid.

Throughout the seven-week campaign, Rite Aid associates plan and host fundraisers to help raise additional funds including countless golf tournaments, car washes, bake sales and other special events throughout their communities. Members of Rite Aid’s management team also dedicate a day each summer to washing cars and participating in carnival-themed games outside the company’s headquarters in Camp Hill, Pa.

This year, the Rite Aid campaign begins during Children’s Hospitals Week, March 20-27, an awareness week dedicated to children’s hospitals across the country. CMN Hospitals encourages supporters to show their love for #ChildrensHospitalsWeek by sharing the “My Miracle Child” bandage campaign on social media.

Participants can engage by visiting their local Rite Aid store to purchase bandages and make a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. They can then wear a bandage with the name of a Miracle Child who has benefitted from a local children’s hospital on it, take a photo and share it with the #ChildrensHospitalsWeek hashtag.

“We’re thrilled that our long-time partner, Rite Aid, is launching their annual fundraising campaign during Children’s Hospitals Week,” said John Lauck, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals president and CEO. “We are so grateful for their support each year, and having them be a part of our first Children’s Hospitals Week to raise awareness about the importance of children’s hospitals is inspiring. Each dollar Rite Aid customers, associates and supplier partners raise truly makes miracles for sick and injured children.”

Since becoming a sponsor in 1994, Rite Aid has raised more than $81 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at nearly 4,600 stores in 31 states.
