Rate Aid makes donation to Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital for fight against COVID-19

The Rite Aid Foundation has selected Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital as one of its recipients of a $250,000 donation to be divided between nine Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for the fight against COVID-19.

Through Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger, Rite Aid has had a partnership with Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital for the past 26 years. The donation will help protect Geisinger’s frontline workers and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“These are extraordinary times, and the efforts of CMN Hospitals to support healthcare providers and affected patients is very important and impressive,” said Matt DeCamara, executive director of The Rite Aid Foundation. “Across the country, children’s hospitals have found themselves joining the frontlines of this pandemic, offering everything from needed beds to valuable medical equipment. As a longstanding partner, The Rite Aid Foundation is proud to stand with CMN Hospitals during a time when collaboration and partnership mean more than ever.”
